Position Summary
Wakefield Canada is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Sales – Commercial & Industrial to lead and inspire a national sales organization. This executive role will be responsible for driving profitable growth, expanding market share, and building a high-performance sales culture focused on customer success, accountability, and strategic execution.
As the steward of the Wakefield and Castrol brand sales engine, you will shape and execute a winning strategy to deliver against ambitious revenue goals and long-term business objectives. You’ll bring vision, structure, and inspiration to a talented sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Leadership & Strategy:
Develop and execute Wakefield’s national sales strategy aligned with corporate goals and the premium positioning of the Castrol and Wakefield brands.
Team Development & Culture:
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performance sales team; instill a culture of accountability, collaboration, and results-oriented mindset.
Customer & Channel Management:
Strengthen relationships with key Commercial & Industrial distributors, HD OEMs, Fuel Resellers, and strategic accounts. Optimize channel strategies to drive growth and customer satisfaction.
Performance Management:
Implement KPIs, reporting tools, and performance frameworks to monitor and drive sales effectiveness, pipeline health, and revenue targets.
Market Intelligence:
Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to proactively adapt sales approaches and deliver differentiated value.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure strategic alignment and customer-centric execution.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, ideally in the Commercial & Industrial lubricants industry or related sectors.
• Proven track record of building, scaling, and leading high-performing sales teams across a national footprint.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to execute in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Deep understanding of B2B sales, channel distribution, and value-based selling models.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
• Passion for Commercial & Industrial industry is an asset.
