Job Summary:

The Bulk Driver will execute with excellence, daily customer deliveries along planned routes within the region. In addition, this position will represent the organization in a professional manner while interacting with customers thereby contributing to volume growth in the region. Excelling as part of a team that includes local sales resources, a local warehouse and other company resources, the Bulk Driver will accomplish this while consistently following an exemplary standard in all aspects of Safety, Delivery Procedures and Professionalism.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Organize and plan daily packaged goods & bulk shipments
  • Be fully accountable in coordinating everything that goes on and off delivery truck to allow flawless delivery execution
  • Distribute product to customers via daily route plan
  • Complete accurately all required customer paperwork and daily route information
  • Interact with the local warehouse to allow full coordination with your schedule
  • Attend Safety and Compliance Seminars and constantly strive to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Receive and follow direction from your direct manager
  • Interact with local Sales resources in identifying key customer issues and opportunities in the market
  • Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time
  • Assist with coverage in other regions as required

  • Ability to maintain/acquire proficiency in relevant regulatory training and certifications as required by position such as, but not limited to, WHMIS, Canadian Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Class 1 License and a clear Driver abstract
  • Good reading comprehension, writing and mathematical skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Canadian Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and previous WHMIS training requirements are an asset
  • Must have, or be able to acquire, the skills required to successfully demonstrate basic PC skills and a proficiency in using technology
  • Comprehensive geographical knowledge of the provinces, especially main highways and major cities currently serviced by the company
Working Conditions:
  • Company uniform provided
  • Professional and well maintained equipment
  • Long distance and overnight driving during multiple day deliveries may be required as may overtime due to run schedule, weather, or work volume.
  • All required Personal Protective Equipment must be worn while performing tasks
