Wakefield Canada Inc. has an excellent opportunity for a Bulk Driver, Winnipeg reporting to the Western Region Supply Chain Manager. The primary objective of the Bulk Driver is to safely and efficiently transport and unload package and bulk goods between Wakefield and its customers, with responsibility for daily customer deliveries along planned routes within the region.
In this role, you will:
- Liaise with dispatcher and organize daily packaged goods & bulk shipments using Wakefield fleet of trucks.
- Distribute products to customers via daily route plan.
- Long distance and overnight driving during multiple day deliveries may be required as may overtime due to run schedule, weather, or work volume.
- Perform all required bulk, package and warehouse duties as may be required.
- Attend Safety and Compliance Seminars and constantly strive to maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in and successfully complete Bulk Delivery Training.
- Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.
- Assist with coverage in other areas as required.
We are looking for someone who:
- Possesses a Class AZ License with a clear Driver abstract; and a minimum of 3 years related AZ driving experience
- Can operate a manual transmission
- Is self-motivated, conscientious, and able to work well with others
- Successfully passes an aptitude test to demonstrate the required competency level and demonstrate continuing competency in the position
- Adequately manages physical aspects of tasks and is in good physical condition
- Sees projects and work through to completion
- Demonstrates proficiency in the Canadian Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
- Is organized and able to effectively prioritize tasks at hand
- Demonstrates respect for others and is performance driven to achieve departmental goals and objectives
- Demonstrates exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service
- Works overtime as required to meet operational demands
- Has geographical knowledge of the province, especially main highways and major cities currently serviced by the Wakefield fleet.
