Territory Sales Manager

We are actively looking for a Full-time Territory Sales Manager for our GTA West territory for our New Car Dealer and Linked Installer channel.  This position will be a field base sales role with a home office base.  We are looking for a Sales professional with proven sales experience and experience selling premium products who is based in the GTA West.
 

Job Summary:
The purpose of the Territory Sales Manager is to maximize sales and profits in their territory.  This role will cultivate, develop, and maintain new and existing business through various channels while ensuring significant profitable growth of the business within the territory.  This position will look after the New Car Dealer and Linked Installer channel in their territory.  The Territory Sales Manager is also focused on building lasting relationships with internal and external clients while representing Wakefield in a professional manner.

 
Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive territory business plan including objectives and plans for the most important accounts.
  • Service and grow existing businesses in the territory, taking into consideration volume, profitability, and predetermined targets.
  • Execute the organization’s sales process in assigned territory.
  • Seek out new opportunities through cold calling and referrals.
  • Represent Wakefield and the Castrol brand at Trade Shows.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and participate or attend any promotions, celebrations, anniversaries the client hosts (ie. Grand openings, Customer Appreciation)
  • Attend all product knowledge training sessions.
  • Communicate and follow up with clients in a timely manner.
  • Occasionally assist in the development and implementation of sales projects outside the sales territory.
  • Manage any account maintenance of any Wakefield equipment through problem solving, product updates, or training sessions for the client.
  • Leverage the CRM, documenting all customer information in the CRM.
  • Maintain an awareness of market trends and opportunities that are aligned with the overall business objectives and goals of Wakefield.
  • Special projects and participation as required.

Direct Managerial / Supervisory Responsibility:
  • N/A
 
Education / Experience:
  • College Diploma or University degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Sales, Marketing, or a related field is an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years in a similar Field Sales role.
  • Experience selling consumer or commercial automotive lubricants (or related industry) through distributors or direct channels preferred.
  • Proven ability in territory sales management including creative and fact-based selling, merchandising, administration, and experience selling to direct and indirect buying headquarter accounts.
  • Experience in selling consumer packaged goods an asset.
  • Excellent Microsoft Suite experience.  Experience using a CRM is preferred.
 
Working Conditions:
  • Field work with a home office base.
  • National travel as required.
